Prof. Kazuo Tsubota is a President of Association of startups from Keio Universitiy school of Medicine, CEO of Tsubota-lab. He hraduated from Keio University School of Medicine. Completed the Harvard University Cornea Clinical Fellowship. He attracted attention for his world-leading achievements in regenerative therapy using stem cell transplantation of corneal epithelium. He was also one of the first to focus on dry eye and published many papers on the subject. In the field of corneal transplantation, he introduced an American-style system to the Japanese eye bank and developed a new medical treatment. He is the current President of the Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine (June 2013 – June 2017), Founding President of the Dry Eye Research Society, and Representative of the Myopia Research Society as a sponsor.
