Special speech:「To the society with no heart failure」 Kakuta Kenji,(CEO, iHeart Japan Corporation) ![]() In 2016, he was awarded by the Government of Japan as a meritorious contributor to collaboration between industry, academia and government. Prior to the current position, he was working for venture capital funds for 8 years, and responsible mainly for investment in biotechnology companies and so broadly as Japan, North America, Western Europe, China and Singapore. He invested in 24 companies in total, including Japan Tissue Engineering, CellSeed and Promethera as cell therapy companies. He was a board member of Promethera, a Belgian company. Prior to that, he started his professional career at Procter & Gamble Far East. He holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science from Kyoto University. |
