Our core product is an AI based operation room (OR) management system for hospitals.
Hospitals have been suffering from degradation of management, declines in quality of life (QOL) for doctors and nurses due to long working hours. Also, because of inefficiencies in the workflow process around OR, we can see an increase in patient waiting time.
Our AI platform can optimize the schedule of surgeries and staff by allocating each intervention to its appropriate time slot, reducing overtime and inherently minimizing the waiting time for the patient.
The reason why we have focused on operating rooms is because 70% of revenues and 40% of hospital’s costs in Japan come from the OR, which means OR are at the centre of hospital’s management.
To our knowledge, there are no companies within Japan that offer a similar product or service. However, IT companies such as Fujitsu, NEC and others, do offer traditional OR management systems. We have adopted a monthly subscription model to our SaaS offering. Already, we have early adopter and a paying customers. As a next step in our strategy, we plan to forge an alliance with a nationwide medical distributor, in order to expand our product all over Japan.

Consequently, manga (Japanese comics) are currently mostly served by low-quality, unprofessional, pirated translations on sleezy sites. The pirated Manga market in the US is estimated to be $10B/year, which is hugely damaging to publishers and Manga authors.

– Product:
We are building a comic translation tool for publishers to create an appropriate pipeline that connects comic artists and readers beyond language barriers. It contains i) a machine translation engine designed for comcis and ii) a post-editing tool for translators/letters. The translation engine achieves the best accuracy in the world (Compared with Google Translate, our engine performs similar to human translation by 3.6 points BLEU [Papineni+2002]). Combined with our online post-editing tool, the translation system accelerate the speed of comic translation by 2x.

We charge $1000-$5000 per month for our comic translation tool.
Within a month of the launch, 20+ publishers and online comic distributors had requested a free trial, and one of them had already switched to a paid plan ($1000/month).

As laparoscopic surgery needs three doctors, the number of operations and the surgical procedure are often limited because of lack of doctors. Although current surgical robot seems to be performing surgery by one doctor, the number of doctors is not reduced because other doctors are necessary to assist robot procedure. We propose a new robot that cooperatively operates with a surgeon. Our robot can replace both a scopist and an assistant, and can be controlled by handheld tools which is commonly used in laparoscopic surgery. As this concept enables direct control of assistants while the surgeon is operating normal procedure, the surgeon can operate surgery as they want anytime. Furthermore, as conventional laparoscopic surgery can be operated by only one surgeon, many of surgery can be operated even if the hospital doesn’t have enough doctors.
