AHMED RAZMAN ABDUL LATIFF – マレーシア

Director / Putra Business School

Dr. AHMED RAZMAN Abdul Latiff is a Director of Non-Thesis Based Program (MBA & MM) and also in charge of Entrepreneurship in the Putra Business School (PBS), Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor Degree of Accounting and Finance (Honours) from Lancaster University, United Kingdom, a Master Degree of Accounting from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a Master Research Degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Lancaster University, United Kingdom. He also holds a PhD in Corporate Governance from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom. He has been instrumental in developing the MBA curriculum that infuses Human Governance at PBS. He has presented and published numerous papers at various conferences and journals as well as been awarded various research grants. He has successfully supervised more than 40 students of PhD, MSc and MBA. Since 2012, he has been appointed as one of the Intellectual Properties Evaluation Panel for Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), which involves in identifying the potential commercialization of UPM inventions. He is currently in the board of directors of a startup specializing in technological products in healthcare. Since 2012 until now, he is one of the Nominating Committee Member representing Malaysia for the Asian Entrepreneurship Award based in Japan. As a regular commentator in radio programs and TV talk shows, he has been passionate about a very wide range of interests including economics, finance, entrepreneurship, human governance and ethics. He is the Vice President (Finance) of Case Writers Association of Malaysia as well as the Editorial Board member of Asian Journal of Case Research. He has published close to ten case articles in reputable journals and authored many journal articles, chapter in books and magazine articles. He was also one of the case writers for various organisations such as Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Association of Intellectual Property Owners and Tabung Haji. He has also provided consultations to Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and National Audit Department and trainings to MAPIM, UPM, Yayasan Bank Rakyat and TLDM.

ANDREW YOUNG MENG-CHEUNG – 香港

Chief Commercial Officer / Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP)

Mr. Andrew Young Meng-cheung joined Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) in September 2011.

As the Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Young is responsible for formulating and executing strategies and policies to engage with technology companies and institutions to enrich the ecosystem for technological innovation. He is also responsible for drawing up strategies for strategic partnerships with industry associations, universities and research institutes both locally and internationally to facilitate technology transfer and commercialisation. Mr Young is in charge of the Incubation Programmes and Corporate Venture Fund to nurture Tech-Entrepreneurs.

Mr. Young brings more than 20 years of experience in senior management positions in the high technology industry and a strong network of contacts in Hong Kong and overseas. In his past work exposures, Mr. Young has successfully identified business opportunities, associated with technology and diverse fields covering biotechnology, engineering, material science, design and soft technology.

Mr. Young is a seasoned executive in entrepreneurship, technology transfer, spin-off companies, management and marketing.  Prior to joining HKSTP, Mr. Young joined the Hong Kong Productivity Council as Senior Consultant and later was appointed as the Director of Partnership Development of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) where he set up the Institute for Enterprises that forged close partnership between commercial sector companies and the university. He also set up the PolyU Enterprises Ltd. and managed related technology spin-off companies, including the renowned MyCar electric car project that he initiated in 2002 and implemented all the way through the company’s merger with a US enterprise in 2010.

Mr. Young obtained his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the South Australian Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of South Australia.

ANTONIO M. DEL CARMEN – フィリピン

Prof. Antonio “Tony” del Carmen is a seasoned entrepreneur. He has been involved in finance, aquaculture, real estate, information technology, education and training. Currently, he is the CEO/ President of STI College Santa Rosa and President of Prime Infoserve Management and Philpro Management and Development Corp.  In 2008, Prof. Del Carmen started teaching Entrepreneurship at the Ateneo Graduate School and currently, he is the Program Director for the Master in Entrepreneurship Program.

After completing his MBA at the AGSB, he pursued his PhD in Education Leadership and Management at the De La Salle University. His passion for education and training led him to be involved in various organizations that advocate transformation and excellence in the Philippine education system. He is presently the President of the Private Technical Vocational Educators Association of Region IVA (PTVEA) and a member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer of the Coordinating Council of Private Educators Association (COCOPEA). He is also involved in the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines representing the province of Laguna through the Laguna Industry Network for Knowledge, Innovation and Technology (LINK IT) where he is the President.

ATSUSHI USAMI – 日本

Principal / The University of Tokyo Edge Capital Co., Ltd. (UTEC)

Dr. Atsushi Usami joined UTEC in 2013. He focuses on seed/early stage life science investments: biotech, regenerative medicine and medical devices. He worked as a strategy consultant at Mitsubishi Research Institute (MRI), serving pharmaceutical, medical device and other manufacturing companies across a range of areas including mid- to long-term management planning and new business development. He also engaged in providing consulting services to government agencies in the fields of international standardization strategy and industry-academia collaboration. Prior to joining MRI, he studied pharmacology and neuroscience and received Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Tokyo. He won several awards for his research: the 21st High Technology Award by FujiSankei Business i (2007), the Young Investigator Award at the Drug Discovery and Medical Pharmacology Symposium (2010) and the best presentation award at the University of Tokyo Life Science Symposium (2011).

CAYETANA MARTINEZ – オーストラリア

Sydney and Edna Genesis Coordinator / Sydney University

Cayetana Martinez joined the University of Sydney in 2012 as the Genesis Start Up Program coordinator. Cayetana develops our educational programs for entrepreneurs in remote Australia and Asia. She holds a BA in Philosophy, an MA in Cultural Management and an MA in Philosophy of History. She is currently studying an MBA.  Cayetana has supported profit and non-profit entrepreneurs to develop their business and help them grow. She is also a senior business advisor and coach on lean and innovative methodologies.

DON JYH-FU JENG – 台湾

Associate Professor and Director / Graduate Institute of Technology, Innovation & Intellectual Property Management National Chengchi University

Dr. Don Jyh-Fu Jeng is an Associate Professor and Director at the Graduate Institute of Technology, Innovation and Intellectual Property Management, College of Commerce, National Chengchi University. Dr. Jeng received his Ph.D. from Waseda University (Japan), an M.S. and a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Houston (U.S.) Prior to his doctoral studies, Dr. Jeng worked as a system analyst for Texas Instruments (U.S. & Taiwan), and as an e-commerce manager for Ateck Computer, Inc. (U.S.) In addition, Dr. Jeng has co-founded the Gtogo.com (U.S.), which its business model has later proved successful. Dr. Jeng has consulted for a wide variety of organizations and associations. In addition, he serves as a mentor to entrepreneurial groups that devotes himself to support young entrepreneurs on their venturing journey.

GUAN HUANG – 中国

Huang Guan is the current Assistant Director of Student Career Center of Peking University, responsible for students’ extra-curricular academic research, entrepreneur and innovation education and producing-teaching-researching programs. He has received a master’s degree in the School of Economics.

GYEWAN MOON – 韓国

Professor / School of Business Administration, Kyungpook National University

Gyewan Moon is a Professor of Strategic Management & Organization Theory in the School of Business Administration at Kyungpook National University in Korea. He served his University as a Chairman of Faculty Assembly (2014~2016), an Associate Vice-President for International Affairs  (2012~2014) and a Director of Research Institute of Economics and Business Administration (2013~2014). He also works for Smart-Health Forum as a President. He published several papers in Academy of Management Review, International Journal of Information Management, etc. He received his DBA at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. U.S.A. He is currently interested in building a sound ecosystem for entrepreneurship, and legitimacy building in implementing an innovation, etc.

HIROSHI NISHIKAWA – 日本

Partnership Manager / Orange Japan

Hiroshi has been a Partnership Manager at Orange Labs Tokyo, Orange Group’s wholly-owned open innovation center in Tokyo since 2010. At Orange Labs Tokyo, Hiroshi is in charge of developing partnership with start-ups in Japan and Asia. Hiroshi launched a startup accelerator program, Orange Fab Asia in 2013 in Tokyo followed by Seoul and Taipei in 2014 supporting Asia based startups to go global. Hiroshi is also Iris Capital’s Venture Partner in Japan to source investment deals as well as to support portfolio companies.
Prior to that, Hiroshi was a Marketing Strategist at Sunbridge Solutions,  consulting and incubation service provider specialized in IT.  Hiroshi managed to launch an operation in Japan as a master distributor of several foreign startups. Previously, he worked at Mitsui & co., Japan’s one of largest trading company as a Client Partner, where he joined Mitsui’s joint venture with US start-up for e-business consulting and led projects on Internet business for some enterprise customers.
He started his career at Japan Management Systems, Industrial Bank of Japan Group’s consulting firm to deliver consulting projects in strategy, business process, and organization restructuring for various industries including IT. Hiroshi holds an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management (The Netherlands). He studied at Waseda University in Mechanical Engineering (Japan).

JI XIAOCONG – 中国

Director of Entrepreneurship Education Center of the Youth League / Tsinghua University

Dr. Xiaocong Ji is now a Lecturer of Tsinghua University and works as the Director of Entrepreneurship Education Center of the Youth League in Tsinghua University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Management Science and Engineering in 2015, and his bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering in 2010, both from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua University. He also served as a visiting scholar at Carnegie Mellon University during 2014~2015.

K SURESH KUMAR – インド

General Manager / PSG-Science & Technology Entrepreneurial Park (PSG-STEP)

Dr Suresh Kumar started his career in Coimbatore, in a Textile Machinery Manufacturing company, after which he joined PSG-Science & Technology Entrepreneurial Park (PSG-STEP) – The Technology Busines Incubator (TBI) associated with PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, India with the foucs to support start-ups in the areas of informtion technology, electronics and mechanical.  He has been a part of establishing the incubation facility and building its brand to the stakeholders of entrepreneurship in the institute and in the region.

More than a decade, he has been responsible for managing the incubation facility, handholding start-ups, managing the seed fund support system, coordinating the Outreach Centre activities for promoting innovations and identifying & executing the consulting assignments.

He handles the Secretariat of Asia Pacific Incubation Network (APIN) – an initiative supported by infoDev, World Bank & Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.  The network has about 106  incubators as members across 20 countries.  Under APIN, he organizes capacity building programms and workshops for the business incubation managers across the asia pacific region.

He is certified as Business Incubaton Trainer by infoDev, The World Bank Group and a mentor in the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN).

He had participated in various international programs/workshops held at USA, Australia, China, Finland, Brazil, South Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand.

Suresh Kumar holds a engineering degree in Mechanical and a PhD in Management.

KATSUYA HASEGAWA – 日本

Katsuya HASEGAWA has been a Project Professor at the University of Tokyo since 2009. He started his professional career as an LSI engineer at Panasonic in 1982. He became one of the founding members of Panasonic Ventures, a corporate VC arm of Panasonic in Silicon Valley in 1996. He left Panasonic in 2002 and became Managing Director of Venture Connection, LLC until he joined Waseda University in 2005 as a professor. He holds a BS and an MS in Applied Physics from the University of Tokyo. He was a visiting scholar at Stanford University between 1990 and 1992.

Le Thai Phong is a lecturer, Vice Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. Phong gained his Bachelor in International Economics, Foreign Trade University, and MBA from The University of Wales, UK. Since he dedicates to teaching, he came to Leeds University Business School to complete his PhD in international business, with the research title of “The role of intra- and inter-industry FDI spillovers in explaining performance outcomes: Evidence from the UK”. Phong offers few courses in business and management, such as strategic management, international business, quality management, principles of management, and leadership and management. He is the author of various articles, and the referee of several journals, domestically and internationally. Le Thai Phong is keen on bringing real world practices to the academic world, bridging the gap between theory and business practices. As consequence, he acts as a consultant, helping firms in improving their performance.

MAXIM MILHAYLOV – ロシア

Maxim Mikhaylov is Director and Head of Startup Acceleration Programs at Skolkovo Foundation. Mikhaylov has built Skolkovo’s mentor network of 200+ professionals in IT-Telecom, Energy, Life Sciences and Industrial sectors. His current role also includes building international partnerships for support of commercialization of Skolkovo resident startups (as of now, 100+ resident startups have sales in US, Southeast Asia and Europe).

Before joining Skolkovo, Mikhaylov worked in private equity with Vostok Nafta Investment, a Swedish fund and a pioneer investor in such companies as Avito and Tinkoff Bank.

Maxim Mikhaylov graduated with honors from MGIMO and has Master’s degree in International Energy Management from Bodo Graduate School of Business in Norway.

MOTOSHI SOBUE -日本

Mr. Motoshi Sobue (Moto) is a CEO of a technology start-up company and a deputy chairman of an angel group in Japan (TEP). Moto has countless experiences supporting and leading start-up companies. Moto has accelerated start-up companies with his skill, passion and network. For example, his current start-up has been revived after 3 months from his involvement, winning a grand prix in venture competition. His passion is to embed start-up culture in Japan as an opportunity exploring the technology and human possibility.

Moto brings more than 20 years of senior management experience in multinational companies in BAT, Dell Intel and Bank of Japan. His working field was cross-sectional including finance, strategy, sales and marketing. Moto successfully achieved impactful business results, particularly in business model enhancement, profit improvement and organizational transformation.

Moto obtained a master of economics in Duke University, a master of engineering in Waseda. Very recently, Moto was a visiting professor in NC state university during 2014/15.

NATTAKRIT WU – タイ

With extensive experiences in sales and marketing, Nattakrit Wu was driven by the opportunities to be an entrepreneur. He founded Fu-Yih Enterprise Co., Ltd. In 2007, engaged in manufacturing and distributing waterproof PVC canvas and is currently working to establish a venture with the goal to make wheelchairs more accessible for users with limited resources. Apart from running his business, he also lectures at Thammasat Business School, College of Management Mahidol University and promote entrepreneurship at the Innovation Driven Enterprise center, Thai Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, he has been directly engaged in working with technology and social entrepreneur teams in different stages of their startups, in Thailand, Taiwan, and countries in in the Southeast Asian region. He has also co-created MetaMo, an incubation and accelerator program in the region promoting and creating its very own breed of entrepreneurs, or what they call Change Makers throughout the region.

POH KAM WONG – シンガポール

Professor and Director, NUS Entrepreneurship Centre, National University of Singapore (NUS) Entrepreneurship Centre, Singapore

WONG Poh Kam is Professor at the NUS Business School and Director of NUS Entrepreneurship Centre, where he spearheads the university’s experiential entrepreneurship education programs and oversees the NUS Enterprise Incubator (NEI), which provides incubation space, seed funding and mentorship for start-ups by NUS students, professors and alumni.  Among the entrepreneurship promotion programs he has initiated include the annual StartUp@Singapore Business Plan Competition, the annual DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia, the LeanLaunchPad Singapore, and the Modern Aging Accelerator program.  He obtained two BSc.’s, an MSc. and a Ph.D. from MIT.  He has published extensively in leading international refereed journals on entrepreneurship and innovation, and has consulted widely for international agencies such as the World Bank, OECD and ADB, various government agencies in Singapore, and many private corporations in Asia.  He was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at U.C. Berkeley, a visiting scholar at Stanford University and Oxford University, and a Pacific Leadership Fellow at UC San Diego.  An active angel investor with investment in over a dozen high tech start-ups in Singapore, Silicon Valley, China and India, he was the founding chairman of Business Angel Network (Southeast Asia) and Asia Business Angels Forum, and is an advisor for a number of venture capital funds, including iGlobe Partners.  He received the Public Administration Medal (Silver) Award from the Singapore Government in 2013 for his contribution to education in Singapore, and the “Entrepreneur for the World” Award (Education Category) from the World Entrepreneurship Forum in 2015.

RICHARD TAN – 中国

Richard Tan is the General Manager with SHUI ON Group, and the Chief Executive of Shanghai TUSPark (KIC) Management Company, in charge of the whole business of InnoSpace. Part of the core team to develop a new product line for the Group – Knowledge Community (KC), Mr Tan is directly responsible to create a robust and vibrant enterprise ecosystem within the Community;  to enhance interaction and transaction between companies, and other partners. He has also put in place a total solution set-up, ranging from providing talent solutions to enterprise solutions and even international business connectivity. Such initiatives successfully positioned Shui On Knowledge Community as the most effective launch-pads into China.

Prior to joining the SHUI ON Group, Mr Tan was the Vice Consul for the Singapore Consulate in Mumbai, India. He was double-heading as the Regional Director for the Singapore Economic Development Board. Mr Tan was instrumental in attracting US$200million of investment from India into Singapore. He was also part of the core team in negotiating the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (ie free trade agreement) between India and Singapore.

SIVA RAMAMOORTHY – インド

Siva Ramamoorthy (Siva) is a well-known member of the strongly emerging Start-up Ecosystem in India.

He currently serves as a Mentor with India’s No 1 start-up Incubator Zone Startups, a Joint Venture between Bombay Stock Exchange and Ryerson University Canada. He also serves with Stanford Ignite- one of the world Top Start-up academic Programs, University of Sydney Genesis program in various mentor and Advisory roles.

He has taught several start-up programs including on sales, marketing, fund raising and product management for start-ups. He has over 30 Global Presentations and papers to his credit including in USA, South Korea Kyungpuk National University, Belgium, Sri Lanka, Fiji, and Australia. Significant invited speakerships include: “On Innovation” invited by the International Telecom Union, a United Nations body for their forum in Fiji and later.

Past Corporate roles include Director VMware, Director Intel, Product Management for a greater than $500 Million Product at Nortel Networks. And Head of Marketing at Tejas Networks a Red Herring Worldwide Top 100 India Start-up.

He holds a MS in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky. He also holds a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA.

TOTOK HARI WIBOWO – インドネシア

DR. Ing. Totok Hari Wibowo MSc. / Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs

With a doctorate in Management of Technology, DR Totok Hari Wibowo is since recently in charge with policy formulation and design on the development of competitive economic areas such as Science and Technology Park, Industrial Park, and Special Economic Zones with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. Prior to this involvement, DR Totok Hari Wibowo was assigned to join a national task force on the development of technology based SME. He has been working in the Netherlands, Japan, and Indonesia.
