Overview of the Award
Asian Entrepreneurship Award 2015 is the international business competition that will pull together young Asian entrepreneurs and be held in Japan for three days.
When young entrepreneurs have exciting and valuable experience of mutually learning from and being inspired by peers from all over the world, they can gain huge confidence to overcome numerous difficulties and move forward with their own businesses.
This Award will offer a three-day program as a part of an innovation creating project led by Japan in collaboration with other Asian countries, in an effort to create a big network for entrepreneurship development attracting mentors and venture capitalists from Asia and the world.
Qualification for Entry
Each member of the Nominating Committee nominates several companies from respective countries and economies that meet the following requirements (in principle):
1. Five years old or younger
2. Not listed on public stock exchange
3. Technology startup
Award Procedures
The entrant companies present their business plans in the semi-final and final sessions held on May 25 and 26, respectively.
In the semi-finals, each of the entrants delivers a 10-minute presentation on their businesses. The top eight go to the finals.
In the finals, finalists make a 10-minute presentation. After a fair judgement, prize winners of each prize will be elected.
Judging Criteria
1. Innovativeness, commercial viability and social impact of the business, with consideration given to the potential of the business to expand and bring about changes in the global economy and society.
2. Business performance, which includes the nominee’s competitive advantages, management team, strategic vision, and communication capabilities, including presentation skills.
