Shigeo KAGAMI

Dr. Shigeo Kagami has been Professor and General Manager ? Science Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (SEED) of Division of University Corporate Relations (DUCR) at the University of Tokyo since 2004. Dr. Kagami is also a board member of the University of Tokyo Edge Capital (UTEC), a venture capital arm dedicated to the University of Tokyo. Dr. Kagami is a graduate of Hitotsubashi University (BA in Commerce, Tokyo, Japan), and earned his MBA from IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland), and completed his doctoral work in management at the Weatherhead School of Management of Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.).

Ahmed Razman ABDUL LATIFF

Dr. Ahmed Razman Abdul Latiff is a Head of Business Processes and Entreprenuership Training in the Graduate School of Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He holds a Bachelor Degree of Accounting and Finance (Honours) from Lancaster University, United Kingdom, a Master Degree of Accounting from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a Master Research Degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Lancaster University, United Kingdom. He also holds a PhD in Corporate Governance from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom. Ahmed Razman has presented and published numerous papers at various conferences and journals. His current areas of research interest include entrepreneurship, innovation, corporate governance, ethics and human governance.

Antonio Mendoza DEL CARMEN

Prof. Antonio M. del Carmen has been an educator since 1998. Currently, he is the CEO/President of STI College Santa Rosa Inc. and the Program Director for Ateneo de Manila University Graduate School of Business' program on Master in Entrepreneurship. He is very much involved in various education associations where he actively contributes in formulating and strategizing educational reforms for the Philippines. His dissertation paper is entitled “Learner-centered TVET: A Multiple Case Study on the Employability of Tech-Voc Graduates”. Before his involvement in education, Prof. Del Carmen was already engaged in information technology through Prime Infoserve Network Corporation, a business process outsourcing company and manages the family-owned real estate company, Philpro Management and Development Corporation.

Guan HUANG

(Acting Director, Academic & Entrepreneur Department of Youth League of PKU, China)

Huang Guan is the current minister of The Academia and Entrepreneur Department of the Communist Youth League Committee of Peking University, responsible for students’ extra-curricular academic research, entrepreneur and innovation education and producing-teaching-researching programs. He has received a bachelor’s degree in Science from the Department of Information Management at Peking University and currently is a master’s candidate in the School of Economics.

G. Sabarinathan

G.Sabarinathan has a BSc in Chemistry, Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIMB and a PhD from National Law School of India University.
His current research interests are in the areas of financing of small and medium firms in India and regulation of securities market in India. He teaches courses in Corporate Finance including an elective, New Enterprise Financing, and conducts executive training on corporate valuation.
Prior to joining IIMB, he was a Director in the Indian subsidiary of CDC plc, UK (now known as Actis), business leader at GE Capital India's private equity division and a founding executive TDICI (now known as ICICI Ventures) and served as its Vice President.
Most recently, prior to returning to IIMB in 2009, he served as Advisor, Kuwait Investment Authority, where he advised the Managing Director on a range of strategic issues for deploying the oil revenue surplus of the state of Kuwait and several large investment transactions in firms and funds.
His corporate experience includes serving on the boards of over twenty companies as an investor nominee. He currently serves on the investment committee of a European private equity fund investing in India.

Suresh KUMAR

Suresh Kumar started his career in Coimbatore, in a Textile Machinery Manufacturing company, after which he joined PSG-Science & Technology Entrepreneurial Park (PSG-STEP) ? The Technology Busines Incubator (TBI) associated with PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, India with the foucs to support start-ups in the areas of informtion technology, electronics and mechanical. He has been a part of establishing the incubation facility and building its brand to the stakeholders of entrepreneurship in the institute and in the region.
More than a decade, he has been responsible for managing the incubation facility, handholding start-ups, managing the seed fund support system, coordinating the Outreach Centre activities for promoting innovations and identifying & executing the consulting assignments.
He handles the Secretariat of Asia Pacific Incubation Network (APIN) ? an initiative supported by infoDev, World Bank & Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. The network has about 106 incubators as members across 20 countries. Under APIN, he organizes capacity building programms and workshops for the business incubation managers across the asia pacific region.
He is certified as Business Incubaton Trainer by infoDev, The World Bank Group and a mentor in the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN).
He had participated in various international programs/workshops held at USA, Australia, China, Finland, Brazil, Malaysia and Thailand.
He is an Engineering Graduate and also holds an MBA.

Gyewan MOON

Gyewan Moon is a Full Professor of Strategic Management at the School of Business Administration. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, U.S.A. He has been serving as a Director of the Innovation Center at the Research Institute of Economics & Business Administration, Kyungpook National University and acting as president of DG Mobile Forum for the past 10 years. He is also working as a member of Korea-Stanford Venture Forum in Korea. His research interests include organizational innovation & learning, organizational culture, strategic management of technology etc. He has an extensive experience in working with Korean companies including LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics and regional venture companies (IDIF, Winitech, Intmoa etc.).

Thuy Thu NGUYEN

Dr. NGUYEN THU THUY is Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, Head of Financial Management Division, Faculty of Business Administration, Foreign Trade University (Hanoi, Vietnam). Dr. Thuy got her PhD in Finance from Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University, Rotterdam, the Netherlands). Dr. Thuy is senior lecturer of Corporate Finance, Managerial Finance, Investment Management & Analysis, Problems in Financial Management, Project Management, Integrated Business, and Business Analysis. She is also a visiting lecturer at various universities around Vietnam, including Vietnam National University, CFVG, and others. She is trainer and consultant of finance issues for various groups and corporations in Vietnam, e.g., PVFC, GAET, Viettel… Dr. Thuy also acts as local consultant for various educational capacity-building projects of Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (BCEP, TBS2, HEP2). Dr. Thuy has published extensively in academic journals, both locally and internationally. She has also presented her research in various international conferences, including EFA and EFMA. Dr.Thuy’s research interests include empirical corporate finance, capital structure, risk management, venture capital, economic growth and finance, international finance, emerging markets.

Jie NI

Dr. Ni Jie is the deputy director of Youth League of Tsinghua University, China. He received his Bachelor and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Tsinghua University. He is now in charge of student entrepreneurship education in Tsinghua. As one of the main proponents, he founded the “Social Entrepreneurship Practice Competition” in 2009, which had grown to be a competition covering the whole China. Besides, he organizes tens of entrepreneurship education activities each year, such as “Intel - Tsinghua Technology Entrepreneurship Summer Campus for National University Students”, “Business Plan Competition of Tsinghua University”, etc.

Edward RUBESCH

Edward Rubesch combines a mixture of practical and academic entrepreneurial experience. He has founded four companies in Thailand which he still heads as President. He is the director of the IMBA Program, the Center of Sustainable Enterprise, and the Global Social Venture Competition at the Thammasat Business School. He also assists the director of the Technology Licensing Office for Thailand's National Science and Technology Development Agency. His goal is to increase the number of innovation based startups in Thailand.
Ed was originally educated as a mechanical engineer, receiving Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received a Master of Management degree from the Sasin Graduate School of Business, a program in Thailand, offered jointly by the Kellogg School of Northwestern University, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and Chulalongkorn University. He completed his Ph.D at Thammasat University, with a study of border entrepreneurs in the Greater Mekong Subregion. He is active in academic research in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, and distribution in developing countries.

Tsuyoshi SAKAMOTO

Tsuyoshi Sakamoto worked for two large corporations; an office equipment manufacturer, and a semiconductors manufacturer as a mechanical engineer for 7 years. He then worked for a few venture companies as a manager and was in charge of business development or management restructuring.
In 2004 He moved his career to academic-industry collaboration area at Kyushu university and took the position as IMAQ Start-up Support Department Director.
He had been in charge of the Start-up Support Department that advises faculty members, students and officials how to set up a company by 2010. After that, He assumed the presidency of Kyushu TLO.

Kensei SUMITA

Mr. Sumita joined Osaka University’s Office for University-Industry Collaboration in April 2004. He worked in Business Development, responsible for the commercialization of technologies from the fields of physical sciences and life sciences, responsible for building joint research with a focus on technology development between Osaka University and chemical company, shipbuilding company and construction company. In 2008-2009, he experienced the commercialization of all technologies as Industry-University-Government collaboration coordinator at Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and The University of Tokyo. He assisted in the formation of 12 startup companies during 8 years.
Prior to Osaka University, Mr. Sumita had built up expertise in EPC Business and Business Development through his experience of works at Tyco Flow Control. He received a MS in Maritime Science from Kobe University and a BS in Earth Science from Osaka Prefecture University.

Mariko Tamura has a career as a journalist reporting on entrepreneurial subject starting with an editor of "Nikkei VBC", a magazine published by Nihon Keizai Shimbum, Inc.. Then after a while, she joined research department named “Nikkei Research Institute of Industry and Markets”. Also she was involved in editing “NIKKEI VENTURE”, a magazine published by Nikkei BP Inc.
As for academic career, she has been teaching lecture course at Business School of Waseda University since 1999, and had lectured at Wako University etc..
She has been taking a post of “Secretary General of JASVE” and “President of NPO Seikatsu Sosei Research Institute””since 2000. Also, she has been being a member of the Council for the promotion of academy-industry collaborations, the Ministry of Education, Culture Sports, Science and Technology etc. She has carried out a number of surveys of venture entrepreneurs, including “survey of female entrepreneurs”.

E. Anthony TAN

Mr. E. Anthony Tan has been the Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) since April 2008.
Mr. Tan oversees the development and management of HKSTP in its mission to provide the world-class infrastructure and services for Hong Kong to become a regional hub of innovation and technology. In this capacity, Mr. Tan leads and manages Hong Kong Science Park, InnoCentre and three Industrial Estates that are entities within HKSTP.
Before assuming his current role, Mr. Tan also served on the board of HKSTP from May 2001 to June 2006 and the board of Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute from May 2000 to October 2006.
Mr. Tan has more than 35 years of experience in general management, marketing, strategic planning and technological development. He spent 33 years with DuPont where he helped establish the company’s strong business profiles in Asia-Pacific and global markets. His responsibilities covered a wide range of product lines from chemicals and synthetic fibres, to electronic imaging and medical products. Mr. Tan began his career with DuPont in the US before returning to Asia in the mid 80s, thereafter becoming a pioneer in establishment of DuPont’s China operations.
Prior to joining HKSTP, Mr. Tan was Corporate Services Director of Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) between 2006 and 2008. He was responsible for legal, human resource and administrative duties as well as improvements in management process.

Chao_Tung WEN

Prof. Chao-Tung Wen is currently a professor in the Graduate Institute of Technology and Innovation Management at National Chengchi University, Taiwan. His main research interests are science & technology studies and entrepreneurial & incubation management. Since 1995, he has served on the planning and evaluation board of the Industrial Technology and Research Institute and the Small and Medium Enterprise Association. Recently, he has also worked as reviewer of the digital content, the strategic service program, and the future imagination initiatives, among many other MOEA projects.
His academic career has included several key directorship positions. From 2003-2005 he served as Director of National Chengchi University's EMBA program. From 2005-2008 he was Director of the Graduate Institute of Technology and Innovation Management at this same institution, after which he became Director of the Center for Creativity and Innovation Studies. He has been awarded the Excellence in Teaching and Research Award and recently, the Service Award in recognition of his outstanding efforts in promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity both within the university and in society at large.
On top of this, he has published more than 100 conference papers and academic journal articles. Prof. Wen’s books include “Nurturing a Venture Seed”, “The Application of Innovation Models in Government”, “Frontier Entrepreneur: Full Life Story of Chun-Hsiung Wen, a pioneer in Taiwan's advertising business”, and “Corporate Environmental Management”. He frequently contributes articles in various business newspaper & magazine columns. He also wrote recommendation / Book critics for over 40 innovation related books.
Prof. Chao-Tung Wen obtained his MBA in Marketing from the University of Rochester, New York in 1977, and Ph.D. in Urban and Environmental Studies from Rensslaer Polytechnic Institute, New York in 1994. He was a visiting researcher at the Oxford Institute of Retail Management for 8 months in 1991. He awarded as the Fellow of Chinese Society for Management of Technology in 2008.

Totok Hari WIBOWO

Prior to his involvement with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Totok Hari Wibowo was member of the National Team for Technopreneurship Development and Chief Engineer for the implementation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Innovation Centre (SMEIC) that reports to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs. At the same time, he is also Senior Researcher and Deputy Assistant for Technology Policy Assessment at the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology. Being Senior Researcher at the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology, he has directed major policy advisory and research teams, most on aspects of setting up SMEIC and action plan for technology diffusion. In distant past, He has been working on development strategy for 13 Eastern Provinces of Indonesia, especially on the formation of economic development clusters and transition from a controlled to a market economy. He has been working in the Netherlands, Japan, and Indonesia.

Poh Kam WONG

Professor Wong Poh Kam is a Full Professor at the NUS School of Business where he teaches entrepreneurship and innovation strategy. He is also the Director of the NUS Entrepreneurship Centre where he oversees the NUS start-up incubation, seed funding and mentorship programs. He obtained two BSc.'s., an MSc. and a Ph.D. from MIT. He has published extensively in numerous international refereed journals on technology entrepreneurship and innovation strategy, and has consulted widely for international organizations like the World Bank and OECD, as well as for many government agencies in Singapore. An entrepreneur who co-founded three companies prior to joining academia, he has been an active angel investor with investment in more than 10 high tech start-ups in Singapore, Silicon Valley, China and India. He is the founding chairman of Business Angel Network (Southeast Asia) and BAF Spectrum Pte Ltd, an angel investment fund co-invested in by the Singapore government through SPRING SEEDS Capital.
